Flanked by the Chugach and St. Elias mountain ranges, it offers plenty of wildlife viewing and fishing opportunities, as well as an opportunity to explore the old gold rush towns and mines of McCarthy and Kennicott. – 36 river miles - Tana River headwaters to Chitina with Class II & IV Rapids.
